Cody Phipps

Cody Phipps joined Furin & Company, P.S. as a Staff Accountant in August 2024, bringing with him a diverse background in accounting and a deep commitment to serving the community he calls home. A 4th-generation Fidalgo Islander, Cody grew up in Anacortes, Washington, and after over a decade of professional experience across the country, he is excited to return to the region and contribute to the community that raised him.

Cody earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Wyoming in 2018 and went on to complete his Master of Science in Accounting from Western Governors University in August 2025. He began his career in the General Accounting Department at the University of Wyoming before moving back to Western Washington in 2020. His experience includes roles as a Staff Accountant with the Washington State Department of Fish & Wildlife and as an Investment Accountant with the Washington State Investment Board. This breadth of experience across public and government sectors has equipped him with a strong foundation in accounting, which he now applies in public accounting to help local individuals and businesses manage their financial needs.

Outside of work, Cody is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys spending time on the water, whether fishing, crabbing, or exploring the beautiful landscapes of Northwest Washington. He is also an active community member, serving as a high school football official and supporting local student-athletes as they grow and compete.
